Is anyone else having problems getting their "Friends" page to refresh? Mine seems stuck at August 3rd unless I hit the Navigation Bar "View" button that allows you to specify filters (such as Journals Only, or Communities Only). *glares at lj* Don't mess with the addiction, man... :-D

ETA: Found the problem! I had to clear out my browser cache in Firefox, and now all is well. *ah, blessed closure!* Thanks to everyone who commented!

I *think* LJ's working okay. Unfortunately, the last few weeks I haven't been online a lot. I know I've gotten behind reading posts, though.

Been wanting to read your new Firefly fic but haven't gotten the chance. Work is paying for me to take the CISSP exam, and there's lots and LOTS of things to know. *eek!* I don't think I crammed this much when I *was* in college!

Ah, it was supposed to be a small thing, but *sighs*... It was a lot of fun, though. I really enjoyed the Firefly universe! It is highly addictive! And this little section of it is so sweet!

While I may love angst, I love happy endings more! :-D

OMG, the CISSP sounds like one of those really daunting exams (like the Cisco ones). Will the studying you do for it help you for the new position you'll be taking (congratulations on the switch, by the way! Go you!)?

Do you become certified once you take it? I know from experience some of the looks *awesome* on the resume, but was curious if it'll be a help or hindrance to be doing both at the same time?

Thanks! I'll need it. (On both fronts, I think.) ;-) I actually went to the CISSP program manager and told him I didn't think there was any way I could learn new job and study for scary test at the same time. He was sympathetic, but pointed out my new office probably wouldn't be expecting a lot out of me just now, and later I could have more on my plate. I couldn't argue there so I agreed to try it, with the option that if I didn't feel ready I could take the exam at a later date.

Yeah, I haven't really gotten into the Firefly fandom. I like it well enough, just haven't had a lot of time to play in it. Heck, I haven't read a *new* HP fic in ages. It's like, "Okay, vacation's over. You have to cut back on the foolishness and be an adult now." *wibble* Oh, well. Write on!

*laughs* Yep, you and me both. I'm just a little too disappointed with where JKR's taking HP, so a lot of the fire's gone out of the fandom. *sighs*
