beachtree, you SO have my sympathies. It's a hard, scary, adventurous thing you're doing, and I completely understand what you're talking about. But even though they're a little cliche, I'm throwing these sayings out there anyway, because they've proven right on more than one occassion.
First, you can't go through one door without letting another one close behind you. Another one is that being able to take the big risks is that much more opportunity for great rewards.
These sort of transitions, although tramatizing as heck, can ultimately put you in *such* a better place in the long run. You have a much greater chance of finding what you want, rather than going from yuck job to yuck job and wasting all that emotional energy on a career you don't enjoy.
It can be horribly stressful, depressing, etc., etc., etc. (to quote The King and I), but it's also gutsy as heck. Go *you*!
*shakes head at the skeletons in the closet reference* Sounds like overall it's a good thing you aren't still there. Ugh. Poor thing.
Well, I tried! ;-)
*gives beachtree a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a chilled glass of milk* Hang in there! Remember, this is just a beginning (and that such things can be slow starters).
Keep up the virtuous single handed typing, and know there's a *lot* of people out here who care. Hang in there!
