I posted Chapter 3 of ATLB on fanfiction.net. I know it's been a while, but the Remus in this world is much different from NANA, and we had to get reacquainted.
I've got something I have to do this afternoon that I'm dreading doing. I've done it before, and I think I'm in the right mind-set for it, but... It's not easy being the grown-up all the time, even if you are. ;-) Wish me luck, and that I walk away with my dignity intact. I know I do it from a place of love, but it's sad how little that helps. It should matter more than it does.
As you, dear reader, hear my words, take a moment and look around you. Life can be good or it can be bad. For me, it's always been easier to see the darkness. But seeing beauty in nature, the goodness in the people you cherish - it's worth the effort.
When I was a little girl and watching the Star Wars series, I always thought the Dark Side was stronger. I mean, look at all the power Vader had! But at the end of the day, he had to wear a mask, and personally, I'd rather be able to look at myself in the mirror and not feel ashamed. A reoccurring theme in my life seems to be truthfulness - to oneself and others. Being true to yourself isn't just a cliche - it's worth the effort. It makes you better able to grow, and *that*, in the end, is what we should all being trying to do, isn't it?
