I must give a heartfelt thank you to Estel, for pointing out that my fanfic All That's Left Behind is mentioned (in passing) in Movie Magic magazine (Enchanted Collector's Edition). I've been mentioning it to whomever will listen for a day now, just because it means my work is out there, and people are noticing it. Thank you to the mystery author who wrote the article Harry Potter Fan Fiction Comes to Life and gave out my link!
I must admit, when first told about my story being mentioned, I was surprised. After all, I've only got three chapters posted. However, who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? I have one completed fic under my belt, and this one outlined to the teeth. ;-)
Well, on that note, let me give an update: Chapter 4 is well on its way, and at the rate I'm going, I hope to have it beta'd and posted by the end of next week.
Today will be a combined cooking and writing day... On the menu? Vegetable soup, creamy tomato soup, oven baked balsamic chicken (for putting in salads), salad, bulk bacon (we bake it in the over most of the way so it only has a few seconds to cook in the microwave) and more chocolate chip biscotti, because until this recipe, I never realized how scrumptous biscotti could be when dipped in tea. Yummy! I guess I'll just have to find other ways to eat healthier, because I'm loving this recipe!
I'm off to grocery shop, start the marinade for the chicken, drop fresh eggs by my mom's house (a co-worker is my connection), and show off my name in print.
Have a great rest of the weekend!
